This powerful Alienware m17 gaming laptop is $700 off for a limited time

Alienware’s previous-generation m17 gaming laptop is usually $1,999.99, but it’s steeply discounted right now from Dell (according to Dell, this coupon is no longer being honored). This 17-inch model houses Intel’s 9th Gen i7 processor (the hexa-core 9750H with a base clock speed of 2.6GHz and a maximum clock speed of 4.5GHz) and Nvidia’s midrange RTX 2060 graphics chip. It also comes with 16GB of DDR4 RAM installed and a fast 512GB PCIe M.2 SSD. One note about the RAM: you can add more if you’d like, unlike the m17 R2 model released in May 2019 that has RAM soldered to the board.

There are a few more reasons to consider this model if you’re looking for a gaming laptop. Its 17-inch QHD (1560 x 1440) display has a 120Hz refresh rate, which means the games that can run smoothly on this machine will look even better than they would on a standard 60Hz monitor.

To snag this laptop, add it to your cart without making any adjustments to the configuration. Then, at checkout, enter the offer code AFF700OFFAW to see the price drop to $1,299.99.

Fitbit’s Inspire HR fitness tracker is down to $69.99 at Amazon. Usually priced at $99.99, this device offers around five days of battery life before it needs to be charged. Its display offers a minimal user interface (according to The Verge’s Natt Garun in her review, it leaves a lot to be desired vis-à-vis notifications), and its lightweight and discreet design could make it a good fit for you.

You can still save an extra 20 percent on select used and refurbished products sold through Amazon Warehouse. We wrote about this deal last week, but Microsoft Xbox One controllers, smartwatches, and other gadgets are now cheaper than usual. No offer code is necessary; just add one of the listed items to your cart, and the discount will be reflected at checkout.

Amazon’s first USB-C tablet is $50 off for the first time

If you’ve been waiting for a discount on Amazon’s Fire HD 10, your wait is over. The tablet has been discounted to $99, which is $50 off its original price of $149.99. We haven’t seen a lower price on this device, and at $149.99, it was already one of the least expensive tablets on the market.

If you’re familiar with the 2017 version of the Fire HD 10, you may not notice a ton of differences. But as The Verge’s Chaim Gartenberg noted in his review, Amazon has made a few noteworthy upgrades. Most significantly, the new device is finally compatible with USB-C, making it the only current Amazon product to use a modern universal charging standard.

In addition, you’ll get a new 2.0GHz octa-core processor (the predecessor had a quad-core chip), 32GB of storage that you can expand up to 512GB via microSD, and a second antenna to maintain a better Wi-Fi signal. The 10.1-inch 1080p display, while it doesn’t support 4K content, is still great for watching movies or browsing the web.

That’s not the only deal to check out on Amazon today. The company is also continuing its “buy two, get one free” Blu-ray and video game promotion. If you purchase two video games or Blu-ray movies, you’ll get a third at no cost.

You can choose between a number of acclaimed movie selections, including Joker, Us, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. On the game front, you’ll find a ton of titles for the PS4 and Xbox One, including Death Stranding, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition.

You don’t have to do anything elaborate to activate this discount; just add all three items to your cart, and you’ll get the least expensive one for free at checkout.

Buy two Blu-ray movies or video games, get one free from Amazon

You can save a good amount of cash on Blu-ray movies and video games on Amazon right now. In addition to discounts, it’s offering a “buy two, get one free” promotion, and the selection is great. If you can’t make up your mind about whether you want three movies or three games, you can mix and match them. You’ll get the most affordable one for free at checkout.

A few notable highlights from the Blu-ray movies participating in this deal (via Slickdeals) include new releases like The Farewell, Joker, Us, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Ad Astra, It Chapter Two, and Gemini Man. Check out the larger collection of eligible movies and TV shows here, and you can sort by category if the link doesn’t do it for you automatically.

Some others that might catch your eye include Studio Ghibli classics like Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. This is great timing for those in the US who recently felt the sting when Netflix announced it would bring these films to its service, albeit outside of the US.

As far as video games go, some new releases can be found in Amazon’s promo. Here are a few options: Death Stranding, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (PS4, Xbox One), Dragon Quest Builders 2 (PS4), and Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition (PS4, Xbox One).

To say that Amazon has some good deals happening today is putting it lightly. In addition to the promotion above, you can get the MSI GV63 15.6-inch gaming laptop for $1,175 (usually $1,799). This is a fantastic deal for a few reasons: it has a 120Hz refresh rate display, 16GB of RAM, 256GB of fast NVMe SSD storage, and Nvidia’s RTX 2060 graphics chip.

As far as what’s not so great about this machine, it seems like the 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor might be the spec to age the fastest. Also, the design might not speak to you. But those things aside, a midrange gaming laptop like this one usually costs hundreds of dollars more, so consider MSI’s deal if you’re in the market for an upgrade or your first machine.

Nvidia’s entry-level raytracing graphics card now costs $50 less

If you’ve been waiting on a deal for Nvidia’s RTX 2060 desktop graphics card, the entry-level model in its lineup of raytracing-capable GPUs, an official price drop has been issued for the company’s Founders’ Edition model (via PC Gamer). It’s now $299 from Nvidia’s store, which is a $50 discount from the original price.

Admittedly, that’s not a huge price cut, and it’s not even the only RTX 2060 at this price point. EVGA makes a model going for this price, too. But the appeal here is that it now costs, at most, a measly $25 or so more than the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti graphics card. While those cards are fairly comparable (they usually come within 10-20 frames per second of the RTX 2060’s performance in a lot of YouTube comparisons, and are even built with the same efficient Turing architecture), the RTX 2060 holds the lead with more power, native raytracing in games that support it, and Nvidia’s Deep Learning Super-Sampling (DLSS) setting, which is also only in select titles.

The Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL with 64GB of storage are each $100 off at B&H Photo, and include a $200 B&H Photo gift card with purchase. This brings the starting price down to $699 and $799, respectively. These are the unlocked versions of the phone, and they work on every major US carrier.

We saw prices for these configurations start at $599 and $699 during Black Friday, but this is almost as good of a deal considering the massive gift card that’s included with purchase.

Now, for something completely different, The Office Complete Series costs $29.99 through iTunes. You still have plenty of time to watch it on Netflix, though it’s set to leave the service for NBC’s Peacock in 2021. Whether you want to preempt this shift, or just want to own it digitally, you can pick it up for a big discount today.

The 38-disc DVD collection currently costs $50 at Best Buy, so paying less for the more space-conscious version (in HD, no less) is certainly a good deal to consider. If you’d prefer a platform-agnostic option, Vudu offers the complete series for $34.99.

Lastly, Apple’s 2018 iPad Pro is discounted yet again at Best Buy. Both sizes, the 11-inch and 12.9-inch tablets, are up to $200 off. Though, rather than telling you to jump on this deal, I’m advising you to instead hold off for a better one. Here’s why: you’ll only see $200 taken off the cost if you’re looking for upward to 512GB of storage. And even so, we’ve seen this deal hit countless times.

For those looking to spend less on the base model with 64GB of storage, the 11-inch model starts at $674.99 (with the lowest-ever deal from November 2019 being $649.99) and the 12.9-inch tablet costs $874.99 (that price, stubbornly, has never gone below this mark). If you can wait, I’d suggest doing so until the 11-inch model with 64GB of storage goes down to $599.99, and the 12.9-inch entry model drops to $799.99.

It’s only a matter of time until this happens, and given that these tablets are well into their second year on store shelves without a hardware revision to replace them, the drop in price is bound to happen sooner than later.

Verge readers can save up to $300 on iRobot’s flagship Roomba S9 vacuums

If you’re tired of doing all of the vacuuming around the house, iRobot’s slick Roomba S9 and S9 Plus robot vacuums are up to $300 off for readers of The Verge. The high-end S9 Plus is $1,099 (down from $1,399) until supplies last at Wellbots with the offer code S9PLUSVERGE. This model comes with a base that the vacuum can automatically find, then deposit its waste bin into (up to 30 times before you’ll need to empty the base).

For those who don’t mind manually dumping the vacuum’s bin into the garbage each time it needs to (after all, the vacuum is doing the hard part for you), you can save yourself even more money. The standard S9 without the base included is $899 (usually $1,099) at Wellbots until supplies last. Just use the offer code S9VERGE at checkout to see the price drop.

These vacuums also feature a squared-off front that should be much better at wedging itself into corners to sweep debris that builds up in your home. If you have pets, its filters can trap mold, pollen, and dust mite allergens from your floor.

Obviously, you don’t have to spend upward of $1,000 to get a robot vacuum that can handle the basics. But iRobot’s high-end models tend to go pretty far beyond that, which warrants their high cost. The company’s S9 series vacuums are — by far — its best-looking yet, and the company claims a 40 percent improvement in suction power over the previous flagship models.

Amazon is offering 20 percent off certified used and refurbished products today

Amazon’s Warehouse is the storefront’s little corner reserved for used and refurbished items that it certifies and relists for sale. And today, it’s offering a 20 percent discount on most everything it offers, further marking down these already-discounted products.

If you’ve never checked out Amazon Warehouse, the selection of products is vast. As it relates to tech, a few examples of what you can find (which are all eligible for a discount) range from lightly used Xbox One and PS4 controllers and Philips Hue’s recent Bluetooth-enabled smart bulbs to Sony’s excellent WH1000XM3 noise-canceling headphones.

We’ll list these and a few other favorite picks from the batch below. But first, a few things to keep in mind: make sure “Amazon Warehouse” is listed as the seller on the product you’re looking at, or else the discount won’t apply at checkout. The 20 percent price cut will go into effect at checkout, so no offer codes are necessary (if you don’t see the price drop at checkout, that product isn’t eligible). Lastly, since you’re buying used and not new, there’s a chance that the product you receive might not work as you’d hoped it would. Here’s to hoping that it works to your liking, though.

(Note: these prices were accurate at the time of publishing)

  • Philips Hue’s two-pack of Bluetooth-enabled smart bulbs is around $19 (before tax) and is listed as being in “very good” condition.
  • Sony WH1000XM3 wireless, noise-canceling headphones are around $188 (before tax) and Amazon lists them as being in “good” condition.
  • Microsoft’s Xbox One Bluetooth controller that works with consoles, Windows 10 PCs with Bluetooth, as well as iOS 13 and Android 10 devices costs around $34 (before tax) and is listed as being in “good” condition.
  • Sony’s “magma red” DualShock 4 controller that works with consoles, Windows 10 PCs with Bluetooth, as well as iOS 13 and Android 10 devices costs around $31 (before tax) and is listed as being in “like new” condition.
  • Apple’s official USB to USB-C dongle is just over $5 (before tax) and listed in “very good” condition. Apple sells it for $19 brand-new from its stores.
  • Jabra’s Elite 65t truly wireless headphones are a measly $44 and change (before tax) and are listed as being in “very good” condition. Buying used in-ear headphones is a roll of the dice that you may not want to chance, but it could work out well for you.

If those items aren’t doing it for you, check out what Amazon Warehouse is offering at a discount on its dedicated pages for video games, assorted cables, dongles and phone cases, and assorted household electronics.

For the first time, Microsoft’s new Surface Pro X is $100 off

Today is the first time we’re seeing a price drop on the new Surface Pro X tablet, Microsoft’s reimagining of the stayed Surface Pro design that features a custom Qualcomm processor and supports 4G LTE out of the box. At Best Buy, you can get the base model (featuring 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD storage) for $899.99, which is $100 off of its usual price.

In order to get this deal, you’ll need to be a My Best Buy member, though it’s free to sign up. Once you’re signed in with your account, click the “Apply Offer” box below the price shown on the Surface Pro X’s product page.

Keep in mind that this purchase doesn’t include a Type Cover. If you want one of those, Amazon currently offers them for $109.99 (for fast shipping, select as the seller beneath where you can add it to your cart), which is far cheaper than the Microsoft Store’s rate at $139.99.

In our review, Dieter Bohn ran into several app compatibility issues with the ARM processor at launch, and overall, its performance didn’t quite match the price tag. However, considering this slight price drop, and with Microsoft’s new Edge Chromium browser for ARM showing promising boosts to battery life, now might be the right time to check it out.

If you’re ready for an upgrade for your Verizon plan or are thinking of opening a new line with a phone that takes great pictures, Best Buy is offering a stellar deal on the Google Pixel 4 with 64GB of storage. It has effectively knocked the final price in half, down to $400 (usually $799). To take advantage of this offer, you’ll need to elect to pay $16.67 per month for 24 months with Verizon. (That’s in addition to the cost of your data plan.)

Of course, paying $400 for the phone with no strings attached would be preferable, but still, this is half of what this phone usually costs per month. And those savings result in a much cheaper phone once your two-year payment period is up.

As part of B&H Photo’s deal of the day (via Slickdeals), you can get LG’s 34-inch widescreen Thunderbolt 3 monitor for $399 (usually $799). Its 60Hz refresh rate and 5ms response time mean that it’s not an ideal gaming monitor, but you’ll rarely see prices dip this low on a color-calibrated monitor. The 3,440 x 1,440 resolution nano-IPS screen supports HDR10 and covers 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamuts, and 135 percent of sRGB.

TCL’s 2019 65-inch QLED 4K Roku TV is cheaper than ever at Best Buy

TCL’s 65-inch Series 6 TV is seeing a hefty price drop at Best Buy (via Slickdeals). Normally $699.99, it’s now $594.99 if you use the offer code TCLDOLBY15 at checkout (underneath where you put in your credit card number for the payment). This is the 2019 version of TCL’s 6 Series; its 2018 version was considered by my colleague Chris Welch to be the best 4K TV that you could buy for under $1,000. We haven’t had a chance to extensively test this newer model, but it looks like it checks all of the same boxes, like the inclusion of Roku software out of the box, and there are some new features as well.

For starters, it has a slimmer bezel than before, making it look even more like a premium model. More importantly, the display panel should look even better with its new quantum dot LED technology that results in a brighter, more vibrant picture. Like Samsung and Vizio’s QLED 4K TVs, this is as close as you’ll get to the performance and fidelity of an expensive OLED TV but at a fraction of the price.

One thing to note: this TV costs considerably more on Amazon, and that’s because it includes a remote that doesn’t require line of sight with the TV. This Best Buy-exclusive model relies on an IR blaster to operate, so make sure not to obstruct the IR with your soundbar.

The Fitbit Versa 2 smartwatch is $149.95 at Target and Amazon. Both retailers include a small and large band, and each presently offers it in multiple color variants. We saw this model dip down to $129 during the Black Friday shopping period, but a $20 price difference isn’t too big of a hit to take if you want a fitness tracking smartwatch.

If you’re looking for a new microSD card to add some storage to a phone, laptop, action camera, or a Nintendo Switch, you can save a few extra dollars at Amazon today. PNY’s 256GB card is $32.99, around $5 off of its previous lowest price. Samsung’s 256GB microSD card is also $32.99. We’ve seen cheaper prices during the holiday, but these aren’t bad deals by any means.

The model mentioned below looks identical to this one, but it has an additional port.
Image: RavPower

RavPower’s 61W wall adapter is down to $25.59 when you apply a coupon on its product page at Amazon. This model features two ports: a USB-C port and a USB-A port. If you’re using both ports to charge your tech, the USB-C port will have a max output at 45W, and the USB-A port will top out at 12W. Otherwise, the USB-C port used by itself can yield 61W of power, which is enough to charge a 13-inch MacBook Pro at its native charging speeds.

RavPower notes that this adapter is not compatible with Programmable Power Supply (PPS), the charging spec that Samsung employs with the Galaxy Note 10 Plus to allow it charge at 45W speeds.

Amazon’s excellent Kindle Paperwhite is back down to its lowest price

Amazon’s most recent version of the Kindle Paperwhite is a great value at its regular $124.99 price, but buying one right now won’t set you back nearly as much. The 8GB base model (with Amazon ads baked in) is down to $84.99, which is the same price that hit during Black Friday.

Compared to the standard Kindle, which is on sale for $59.99, the Paperwhite has a higher-resolution display — and a properly backlit one at that (compared to the Kindle’s side-lit display). It’s also waterproof, something that will come in handy in case you like to read in the tub or the pool. These features alone make it worth paying the premium, even more so at this discounted price. Check out our review from The Verge’s Chaim Gartenberg if you want to learn more about what makes this Kindle great.

The OnePlus 7 Pro is still $499, making it $170 off of its usual $669 price. We first mentioned this price cut a few days ago, but OnePlus still has the variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage available at a discount. It’s not OnePlus’ latest phone, but it’s still stacked in the specs department, with a nearly bezel-free 90Hz refresh rate OLED screen, the Snapdragon 855 CPU, and fast UFS 3.0 storage to keep this phone feeling snappy.

Aukey makes a 36W wall adapter with two USB-C ports, and it’s only $21.59 right now at Amazon. This adapter doesn’t use GaN technology, like we’ve seen in a growing amount of models. That likely would have resulted in Aukey making this smaller, more efficient, and perhaps more powerful than it is. But as is, it’s still an affordable way to quickly charge a few USB-C devices, like your phone, tablet, or Nintendo Switch. Each port tops out at 30W, or 18W when both are being used at the same time.

To get this price, click the checkbox underneath the price listed for this product. You’ll see this discount reflected at checkout.

Fallen Order

Image: Respawn Entertainment

Target is marking down select video games by 25 percent when you elect to pick up your order in store. Some noteworthy inclusions are Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order ($45 before tax), The Division 2 (only $9 before tax), and The Outer Worlds (about $36 before tax). The full list is right here.

Lastly, you can save quite a bit on Apple’s second-generation AirPods at Amazon. Right now, the base model that includes a wired charging case is $129 ($30 off matches the best price we’ve seen), while the wireless charging case option costs $169 (usually $199).

Today’s best deals: Pixel 4, Surface Laptop 3, Google Home Mini

Today’s the day to save on Google products, as there are good deals on both the Pixel 4 and Home Mini. There’s also a gaming deal and some laptop deals.

The Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL are on sale at Amazon. They’re more than $200 off, making these prices lower than they were on Black Friday. The Pixel 4 XL (64GB, white) has been knocked down from $899 to $613.79, and the Pixel 4 XL (64GB, black) is now $661.95. The Pixel 4 (64GB, white) is on sale for $571, discounted from its initial price of $799. The same phone in black costs $571.99. The Pixel 4 XL (128GB, black) has been marked down $89 to $909.99, but there are currently few remaining, according to Amazon.

Alternatively, you can buy the Pixel 4 or 4 XL (64 GB, black) from Best Buy for $100 off and get a $200 Best Buy gift card (via Slickdeals). Save another $50 with activation.

Google Home Mini.
Photo by Dan Seifert / The Verge

You can get two Google Home Minis for $45 from Walmart. They’re listed at $49 but have been going for $25 lately, so this is still a good discount (via Slickdeals). Note that this is the original Home Mini and not the newer Nest Home Mini that offers improved sound quality.

The PlayStation Plus 12-month membership is $44.99 at Amazon and Walmart, which saves you $15 (via BGR).

This Asus 2-in-1 laptop (15 inches, Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050) has a 4K touchscreen and is $500 off at Best Buy, bringing the price down to $1,049.99.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 is $100 to $200 off at most retailers, but the best deals offered are Walmart’s, which has knocked $300 off the following configurations:

  • Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 (15 inches, AMD Ryzen 5, 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD) is $1,199 at Walmart and Best Buy
  • Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 (15 inches, AMD Ryzen 5 16GB of RAM, 256GB SSD) is $1,399
  • Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 (15 inches, AMD Ryzen 7, 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD) is $1,796.99 at Walmart and Amazon

These deals also have limited stock remaining, so act fast if you want to take advantage of them.
